A visit with an old friend.

Bethany and I met when we were pre-teens at church. I was the shy, introverted one & she was the out-going and bubbly one :) We became fast friends and had so many great times together... so many wonderful memories. Unfortunately we lost contact over the years but have now re-connected through the magical world of Facebook. Currently she lives with her husband Michael, and their baby girl Abigail in Jerusalem, Israel! They are a world away from us, but so close in heart. Michael & Beth took a road trip across the USA to visit friends and family. I was so blessed that I was able to see her during her brief stay in Connecticut. We had an amazing time catching up on everything. It felt just like old times - like we've seen one another everyday, instead of the first time in over ten years! Before she left, I set up a makeshift studio [in my kitchen of all places] and took some pics of Beth & her little girl Abigail ♥ Here are a few of my faves. Thank you so much Beth for taking the time out to come and visit us. It was so precious spending those few hours with you! Much love to you & your family. xoxo
Like mother, like daughter ;)

Fresh talent, new tunes.

Hello my loves! I hope you all are doing wonderfully :) Its Wednesday and the week is half way over - yes! I've been busy for the past 2 days emailing & scouring Myspace looking for fresh songs to put on my website. Over the next few weeks I'm going to be updating my site with tunes from unsigned, indie, or new bands and musicians. Ideally, I'd like my site to be filled with just music from these [mostly local] up & coming musicians, to showcase their talent & give them support. Besides listening to their songs, you'll also find their website links included on my site so you can find performance dates & more info about them. So, if you know of a band who might be interested in getting free exposure, send them over to me :) Many thanks to the band Abel for being the first ones to jump on board and agree to letting me use their music! And a shout-out to Sean Fournier for being next in line with his song "Falling For You". You can hear them both on!

Rick & Diane - Love is in the air!

I met Diane & Rick through my husband's cousin's girlfriend [yeah thats a mouthful!] and I am so glad I did. You know when you meet someone for the first time and you just click? Thats how it was with these two. Diane & Rick are so in love and I could feel it in the summer air! :) We had a great time walking around the historic grounds of the Hillstead Museum in Farmington. The weather was perfect - we couldn't have asked for a better day. Here are a few shots from our session together. Thanks Rick & Diane for a wonderful time.
She has the best laugh ever!

♥ Love birds ♥

Lots of kissing going on ;)

Our day with Thomas the Tank Engine

Our friends Heather & Donell, whose wedding I will be photographing this upcoming October, gave my family & I some tickets to see Thomas the Tank Engine @ the Railroad Museum of New England in Thomaston, CT. Needless to say my 3 children were very excited! Here are a few pictures from that hot and sticky [but awesome] day:

My husband, kids & Sir Topham Hatt! My middle child doesn't look very thrilled does she? :)

The humidity was killer. A thick fog hung over us all day, and then lots of rainshowers! Thomas! Woot woot! My son. He's a cutie, isn't he? She's happy now! Some magician guy showed my children tricks. They thought he was amazing :) They loved this one, making the balls muliply. My son was fascinated with the magic tricks. Thomas the Tank Engine tattoos! For both my girls. Walking to get on board Thomas. A picture with the train conductor. Thumbs up for a great day!

If you are ever able to make it to A Day Out With Thomas, I recommend it. Its not every day you get to ride a character from tv :) The kids will enjoy every minute of this memorable occasion! All aboard!
